The Tutti Bambini COZee Air crib has a removable fabric and wipe-clean lining. This makes it much easier to clean than some bedside cribs that are a mess to clean. It also has a top bar that can be easily lowered to accommodate feedings at night without having to mess with zips.
Anna discovered that the CoZee was a comfortable and safe sleeping space for her infant. She was delighted that it didn't sway like some other models, meaning it didn't wake her at night while she was trying to comfort her baby for feeds. She also appreciated that the sides of the chair lowered so she didn't have to reach over her partner in order to lift the child out to feed them at night.
The CoZee is available in oak and charcoal and is a beautiful addition to the bedroom. It's more of an elegant piece of furniture than some of the other cribs that we've tested, and can look quite utilitarian in comparison. It's also light at just 11kg. It also comes with a carry-on case so you can bring it on holiday or when moving house. The only additional items you'll have to purchase are a fitted waterproof sheet and a safety strap for co-sleeping. The instructions and images are easy to follow when you first open the box.
The Maxi-Cosi Lora
The Iora is a bassinet for the bed that helps parents feel closer to their infant as they sleep. It adjusts up and down and slides through three positions to be placed next to the parent's bed, or in the corner of the room, so that baby is always within arm's reach. The mesh siding allows air to flow through and allows you to quickly see your baby. And you can stow more pajamas and other supplies in the large storage basket under.
In contrast to other bedside cribs, the Iora folds flat and comes with a travel bag which allows it to be taken wherever. It was easy to move around from room to room and our mum testers felt it was the right size for a bedside crib. The large storage basket is perfect to store extra bedding or nappies.
This is a great option for parents who want to sleep in a co-sleeping bed, but don't wish to share their bed. If one of the partners suffers from mobility issues like arthritis or back pain. Our mom testers loved that they could easily access their baby in the Iora and that it included an option to have a reflux incline which helped alleviate gas.
Our moms also love the fact that it meets NICE guidelines, which are to place the infant in a crib or Moses basket on its own (with no blankets, toys, pillows, etc). The mattress is also firm and comfortable for babies, and sheets are easily available. It's not as light as some of the cribs that are smaller on our list, so if you prefer something lighter and easier to move around, consider a different alternative.
